Samuel David Steiner MEMORANDUM Date: July 23, 1995 To: Robert Charles From: David Steiner Re: the SDA connection If the hearings do not fully investigate the events that lead up to the request by the BATF for a search warrant, the real cause for the raid may never be understood. The Seventh-day Adventist General Conference Committee and/or other SDA authorized Branch Davidian investigative committees have a very good understanding of the teachings of the Shepherd's Rod/Branch Davidians, and the Davidian's interpretation of "last-days events." If you are allowed, you will discover that in many secret meetings, such as the "REPORT AND ANALYSIS OF THE GENERAL CONFERENCE COMMITTEE'S CLOSED HEARING OF "THE SHEPHERD'S ROD" JULY 27, - AUGUST 7, 1959, 1959, 64 pp., the leaders (not assistants or agents) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church are aware of the following material.
One of these intentions, Koresh believed, was to end the Branch Davidian threat to the SDA Church. Koresh believed that if the SDA Church was able to design a communication plan that would ultimately involve the U.S. government (without the knowledge of the U.S. government) in a battle against Koresh, then the U.S. government would in that instance become an extension of the SDA Church and its will. David Koresh and his followers considered themselves to be first, Seventh-day Adventist, and second, Branch Davidian Seventh-day Adventist.
Shirley Burton and her staff at the office of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, with the authorization of the president of the SDA Church Robert Folkenberg, began to put pressure on the BATF to do something about Koresh.
David Dennis can give you information about a vice-president of the SDA Church named Kenneth Mittleider, and how Mittleider was told by the president of the SDA Church not to go to Waco. Mittleider knew the number two man (Wayne Martin, Esq.) in the compound and could have possibly talked him and others out of the compound. a major civil lawsuit against the leaders of the SDA Church. On Tuesday of this week the SDA church, through three law firms they have retained, is planning to ask the court in Rockville, MD to dismiss the lawsuit based on laws dealing with Church/State separation. This must not happen. I believe that this lawsuit is one of the most important ways to date to expose the corruption of the SDA Church leaders, as well as their involvement in the Waco matter. I hope that one can have someone review this matter before the hearing on Tuesday. You and Philip Arnold may also be interested in the following: Koresh had to burn himself to death
The two outer rows were made of stone. The inner wall was made of wood so that it could be used to burn down the temple when and if Darius II commanded it. Koresh saw himself with a soul that was part good and part bad. Koresh thought he was fulfilling the life of Cyrus on a divine level. In other words, Koresh taught that before his followers could be taken to Jerusalem, Christ (Koresh) had to live out one more life as God. Cyrus had allowed the historical Jews to return to Jerusalem. Now Christ (Koresh - part good and part bad) was going to make it possible for his followers to do the same thing - return to Jerusalem. The only way that the evil seed of king Ahasuerus could be destroyed was by fire. Koresh believed that his soul was in part very bad. Because of this, Koresh believed that he had to destroy forever the bad inclinations of King Ahasuerus and that Koresh felt he was caring in his own soul. Koresh saw himself as the ultimate and true temple. The embodiment of Christ. The walls Koresh had built around himself had to include a wall of wood (or house of wood) that could burn if need be. This wall of wood would consume Koresh and thus destroy the evil seed of king Ahasuerus and leave Koresh forever with just the good soul from the seed of Queen Esther. Only one organization had the knowledge, influence and money needed to help make this all happen for Koresh. That organization is the Seventh-day Adventist Church. ![]() |
